The Glasshouse Hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Edinburgh city centre, nestled between Old Town and New Town. We are a short walk from both Edinburgh Waverley Train Station, and the York Place tram stop, which offers a direct route to Edinburgh Airport.
Guests can park in QPark, which is located adjacent to the hotel. To receive discounted parking, pre bookings are essential. Visit the link below and enter code 'GH50' to receive your discount. If you are using a satnav place EH1 3AN in and follow directions which will lead you directly to the car park. Take a tram from York Place, situated across the road from the hotel, or alternatively our concierge team can assist you booking a taxi or private car. Depending on traffic, a car or taxi will take approximately 30 minutes, and cost on average £25 per journey. Please note, executive cars will cost more. Edinburgh Waverley Train Station
Edinburgh’s main rail station, and one of the UK’s most beautiful stations, linking Edinburgh to the rest of the United Kingdom. The station is located right in the heart of the city, and just a few minutes’ walk from The Glasshouse.
Edinburgh trams offer a direct link from Edinburgh Airport to York Place, which is conveniently located opposite the hotel. The journey last approximately 40 minutes, and costs £6. The Tram also creates a stress-free option for sports lovers to Murrayfield.
Lothian Buses operate many routes around Edinburgh, the hop on hop off service is the most cost-effective way for visitors to see Edinburgh, with most journeys just £1.70, or unlimited full-day travel for just £4.
